is it just me or this pearly paint fluctuates too much when exposed to sun or rain or cloudy skies and night time.. I've seeing my car going purple once and grey and black.. I somehow feel brilliant black looks nicer

Look at Meteor Grey, it's the most psychotic color Audi offers. Sometimes grey, sometimes purple, sometimes green tint.
I have Brilliant Black and it's nice but shows every spec of dust and dit. If I had to do it again it would be Quartz

From certain angles, it can seem grayish (from the one week I actually drove the car in Europe). Otherwise, it appears pretty black to me. The brilliant black is nice, but I still prefer the metallic paint. Either way, it's a beautiful car and no bad choice.

I wouldn't say it fluctuates too much, just a bit. I really like the metallic paint when I manage to keep it clean. At least the snow should be done in Cincinnati. Salt stains kill me. Next car won't be black (I'm liking the Suzuka Gray these days).

In fact, I was at my local Audi dealer last night helping a friend picking her next car. The dealder had a A5 Cab, 3.2 A5, S5, Q7, Q5 and a R8... all in Phatom Black. I love it!
