While the TDI has 40 HP less.
0-100 Km times:
A5 5.9s
335d 6.1s
I know the TDI engine has 500 Nm, but I guess the 335d is around that figure too. What did audi do to make the 3.0 TDI quicker?
- A5 weighs less?
- Torque is everything in 0-100?
- TDI makes better use of torque?
- Better gear spacing?
- High rev-ing TDI (is this possible???)?
What are your 2 cents?
Cheers

Better diesel? TDIs are very good diesels. Take a look at this video, of some V6 TDI SUVs
The Q7 smokes the other two. All 3 SUVs have same displacement/about equal hp/torque/weight.
Also, the 335d is an automatic.<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCu1SWgqU0w">0-100: Q7 (8.2) R320(9.4) X5old(9.6)</a></li></ul>
