Raced a E55 AMG last night
The Benz driver was someone I know and we had about 10 runs total. All runs were about 50 - 110 mph (for my car, the E55 reached 120-130 by that time). I have to say I stuck with it pretty good until after 100 mph. The supercharger on the E55 kicks in and it seems like the car gets a second boost of acceleration and it starts to walk at the higher speeds. It almost felt like that car was using a Nitrous (it wasn't). First five runs were messed up because from 50 mph I started at 4th gear and he completely walked me from the start. The next five runs I shifted to 3rd from 50 mph and I was right there until 100+ mph. But it does start to walk really fast at that speed. Our car is just not built for that kind of high speed. E55 is a damn fast car.

Wait until you both reach a corner, then you will see who is faster!
Acceleration in a straight line is one thing, but corners and twisty roads are more enjoyable in my opinion. The E55 would suffer greatly there.

E55 is in another league as far as power output. Even the C63 is tempting as far as that goes.
Although neither are very exciting beyond that nor are they great handlers, particularly that E55. The RS5 (or RS4) really needs to make its way over ASAP.

your car and the E55 with ESP turned off.
And make sure you have an ambulance and helicopter on hand to lift your friend to the hospital.
E55 has a great engine and power, but VERY little control. It's dangerous.
I will take my S5 any day over the e55
