RS5 Ride Quality
Just picked my RS5 up yesterday, but thought I would make a quick comment about ride quality. I was concerned that it would be a bit too harsh, especially with the 20's, but I must say that it is much more compliant than expected.
If anyone is looking at an RS5 and is worried about the ride quality, I would say you have nothing to be concerned about.

Funny you should ask, because I sold my RS5 almost 2 years ago and purchased a 2014 911.
I sold the RS5 because I found the driving experience to be a bit sterile, and it was heavy. Both combined to make it less fun to drive than I would have liked.
I also had recurring issues with my brake discs warping, which was getting tiresome to deal with.
The 911 was awesome. Much more engaging to drive.
In terms of ride quality, the RS5 definitely had a more comfortable ride than the 911. It was more compliant.
That said, I didn't find either car to be overly harsh.
I ended up selling the 911 as I changed jobs and was commuting by train and wasn't driving it much, plus we bought a boat. Wife said one toy was enough.
Now I drive a 2017 VW GTI with a manual transmission and let me tell you, it's a blast to drive!
The 911 was the best car I've ever owned. The GTI is the best bang for the buck car I've owned.
They RS5 was beautiful and sounded great, but it's not a car I'll look back at and say that I wish I kept.

The 911 is far more tactile and almost 1,000 pounds lighter but I wouldn't sell the RS5 short. It really does need a few choice mods to bring out it's inner beast and make it feel more tossable or at least as tossable as a 4,000 pound car can. I rarely get the sense of the car's weight these days. She's buttoned up pretty tight and the ride gets even better with a switch to the Bilstein PSS10 kit. That and Michelin PSS or PS4's. Add an aftermarket exhaust and it's a really addictive package. Makes my daily commute something I look forward to each and every day.
