I second that. The RS7 price will be in a totally different league, and that is if it will come to NA.

If it is $130k, you may want to consider the V8 R8 (though the performance for the V8 R8 will be the same as the RS5, but for almost twice the price).

I think, for most people, if the price is 78k or 130k, the main deciding point will be.... the price.

The RS7 will almost look exactly the same as the S7 and the A7. Not much distinguishing features. You are going to buy it for the performance.

And, the RS7 will out-run the RS5 by a large margin.

Your call, but it really looks like a price point question.

I agree. I am waiting to see what the MSRP will be. If it is in the $130K range, then I would agree with the comments that an R8 would be a more fun way to spend the money. I could do that and keep my q5 as a daily driver. Spoke to my dealer who said he will relay pricing info as soon as he gets it.

If you figure out how to justify the cost of any high performance car let me know. I've been in that boat for a long time. In the end I just said the H - - - with it and got what I wanted.

Default RS 5 v RS 7

The replies pretty well sum it up; how much more you willing to pay. I think is 2 doors vs 4 doors (5 counting the hatch). I went from an A 6 to an A 5 to an S 5 and picked up my new RS 5 last Friday. Couldn't be happier!

Ellwer, you may want to consider the S7, if you need 5-doors. It's performance will be pretty close to the RS5 (maybe 4.1 - 4.3 seconds 0-60). The RS7 is sub-4 seconds (possibly around 3.7-3.8 seconds).
