S5/A5 cabriolet question: golf clubs

I don't know about the cab, but I can fit two stand bags in my A5 with ease without folding down any seats and I don't take any drivers out. I always have my bag in my truck, diagonal, with the driver in the pocket. Any passengers I put the other way diagonal, on top of my bag, and it all fits fine.

That sounds like it would work fine. There's plenty of fore-aft depth.
btw: I went with the A5 over the Avant when I realized how much stowage space it actually had.

...My question is whether an alternative might be pushing the one bag longitudinally through one side, and then putting the second bag latitudinally in the trunk? That would allow a third passenger to sit in the back seat... but not sure if that's just way too aggressive or impractical.

I took my clubs to the dealer for the "golf bag test". They were happy to oblige. I have a normal-sized OGIO bag, and it would fit if I did the following: take my longer clubs out; put the bag in diagonally, with the club heads going in first. No way another bag will fit, so to do a second bag would require smaller bags, or putting the other one in the backseat.
