I don't believe that the offical gas mileage figures are out for the 2013 MY yet. However, the auto never had to pay the guzzler tax (only the 6-speed manual had it), and given the shift away from the V8 to the 6 cylinder supercharged engine I'd be surprised if any of the 2013 S5's will have to pay a gas guzzler tax at all. For comparison the 2012 S5 cab doesn't have to pay it.

I believe the ratings on the S5 DSG were 21 and 28 on the model I drove.

anything that gets 22.5 mpg (or greater) combined gets no gas guzzler tax. I read where The 2013 5.2 R8 with the new S-TRONIC gets 21.9 combined and it will only cost you $1K gas guzzler tax which isnt too shabby for a Lambo V10 Engine. The MN6 trans in the V10R8 actually gets almost 3 mpg less than the s-tronic and it will cost more in gas guzzler tax

No Gas Guzzler Tax even on my V8 2012 Audi S5 Tiptronic. The car is powerful but can hit 24-25 mpg on the highway.

That's 22.5 before corrections though, right? That's why the 2012 in the next post with 19 EPA combined is not subject to the tax. The 6MT at 17 combined is - and IIRC at the $1300 level - which I think is 20.5 to 21.5, 21.5 to 22.5 is $1000.

Nope. Not all the time. I get better mileage on my V8 than the other people who have the V6 SC.
