Default S5 owners with V1.. Mine is hardwired with concealed display.

the V1 is on windshield above the driver on the left side.. and the concealed display just fits next to the MMI screen on the top left corner. I'll take some pictures if anyone is interested.

Please take some pictures. I'm thinking of buying the Bel STI Driver. What do you think of that detector?

http://www.laserveil.com/beltronics/bel/sti-driver/</a

Default I've heard thats a good detector. I think the V1 has the best range.

When i have mine on its typically only on backroads and highways... so range was really the only thing i was looking for. The passport 9500 and the STI are both supposed to be really good. I hear they have less warnings that are not in fact police. (9500 has GPS technology)

The V1 can be returned and upgraded if new technology is developed.

Default Yeah, I want cheesy poofs!!!

Or rather, a quick shot or two would be much appreciated.

Speaking of which, should I assume that a radar detector would be verboten in Deutschland?

Default Check this out, I think the best way to concealed display into trip comp display

Interface for V1 Radar to Audi CAN ONLY Interface. Allows control of V1 unit via steering wheel controls and gives V1 output in Trip Computer Display (color or monochrome)

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105420</a

Default Re: that is awesome! I want it, does it fit B8?

if anyone does this i would go in on it with you, assuming its an easy install. Plus, it would be nice if we could get it to work with the voice command button(which does nothing)
