Default Software Flash For 2011 A5 2.0T 8-Speed Auto

Have been checking around with the local tuners, and visiting the web sites at Revo and GIAC, and there seems to be no info on the availability of doing the first flash upgrade to the ECU.

I am very interested in getting this done, and getting that boost in power but it seems that none of the suppliers are showing availability yet for a 2011 A5 2.0T with an 8 speed tranny.
Would love feedback from anyone who knows, and especially if its smart to get it done if it is early in its release. I certainly dont want to mess up the car and have all sorts of issues.

Thanks for the link, but no where does it mention if it works for 2011MY. Other are available from other tuners for 2010MY but not 2011. Seems that there are difference due to the new transmission for 2011 changing from a 6 speed to an 8 speed, and that must have something to do with the computer controlling shifts and other things differently....so I am looking for absolute confirmation for a 2011 MY 2.0T.

As far as I have found out, the local guys near me only handle Revo and GIAC anyways...but thanks for the reply.

Go to the main page of APR. (goapr.com) Right in the middle of the page it will show new products and under that the first thing is '2011 TFSI B8A4/A5. Its good for our 8-speeds. Stasis is suppose to come out with one soon. Last time i talked to them they said sometime in the spring.

Yes.....Thanks, I went back and did read that it is now available. Secondly, there are 3 dealer/Installers in Montreal, and thirdly, after doing a lot of reading on many different forums and through the Web, it seems that APR is actually better received, higher rated for quality and smoothness, and the actual leader in flashing technology.
I am going to visit one of the dealers this week. The only thing I noticed on APR's sight was that their posted upgrade in HP, is a lot lower than numbers I have seen about REVO. The Torque bump seems similar, so I am wondering if the clains about REVO's HP bump is a exaggerated. From what I have read, APR is the best choice.
Thanks,

yes it is true that their horsepower numbers are a little lower than others. I don't know if its that big of an issue since the 2.0T are low rpm power plants rather than high rpm. APR is providing a lot of extra torque where the engine is designed for power. Adding a few extra ponies in the 5000-redline range probably wouldn't change the feel of the car that much. Just my opinion though. The power is in a good place for everyday situations, an APR exhaust mated to the flash increases the HP a bit more if that is something you may be interested in. Either way, the car will have more power, be faster and feel faster.
