Hi all, this is a well covered topic but frankly for a novice it's all confusing. Can someone explain:
1. What is STaSIS and what does it achieve? Is it different from AWE and/or tuning or chipping the car? Does it help the exhaust at all for those with V6s making it sound more like a V8?
2. What is the cost? Is it worth it from experience?
3. What does it do to resale values? You'd think it's a more appealing car but maybe dealers and others get nervous around tuned cars and would prefer stock.
Thanks in advance.

1. STaSIS is a company that specializes in after-market kits for Audi - see http://stasisengineering.com/ . They offer upgrades for suspension, exhaust, and ECU tuning. If you want a different exhaust sound look into after-market exhausts.
2. Cost for what - ECU upgrade? Do some google searches. Whether it's worth it depends on what engine you have, but assuming you have the V6T you can get some pretty good power increases from remapping the ECU. Not so much for the normally-aspirated V8.
3. In general after-market mods do little to nothing on resale value, unless you happen to have a buyer who wants those exact same changes. And for trade-in value at the dealership, or selling to Carmax or other used car dealer, after-market mods can decrease the trade-in value.

One big PLUS for the Stasis equipment is that it is covered by Audi under the original warranty. As Chip said, spend some time researching their website. You will see that their mods are covered under your original Audi warranty. Its a big deal when you have a warranty and want to do an upgrade but are afraid that making an aftermarket mod might void your warranty.
In general you should aware that doing any mod won't necessarily void your warranty but will give Audi an opportunity to decline a warranty issue if they determine that the mod somehow caused the problem in the first place. For this reason, a lot of people go with reputable aftermarket manufacturers as you are (AWE, Stasis, APR, etc.)

The relationship between Audi and STaSIS is a unique advantage, but this is not quite accurate. STaSIS covers their parts under their own warranty, not Audi. However, the terms of the STaSIS warranty match Audi's terms, and if you have your STaSIS products installed by an Audi dealer then all Audi dealers will in essence honor both the STaSIS warranty on those parts and the original Audi warranty on everything else. The result is that to you as a customer it's as if the original warranty still applies, and you don't get into hassles over whether the STaSIS after-market parts void any other part of the Audi warranty. But this only applies if the products are installed by a certified STaSIS installer - if you do it yourself or by non-certified shop then for any warranty issues you must deal with STaSIS, not Audi.

Chip is correct, Stasis has their own warranty coverage which is not to be confused with the factory Audi warranty.
All of the AWE Tuning Audi exhaust components carry a non-transferable lifetime warranty which we stand behind 100%.
Our systems are 100% developed and manufactured in-house and provide a great exhaust note while maintaining a factory fit and quality. Our exhaust systems will not void any powertrain warranty. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email or PM.
