Ack...I almost gave up on the A5 because the wait was too long. I took out a Challenger SRT8 with the 392 Hemi and came very close to ordering one. The car was fast and fun to drive, but I always came back to the Audi. I know it doesn't have the same power, but I hope the driving experience makes up for it. Plus, I like the lines of the car and the S line options. I plan on keeping the car for about 4 years before I trade up to the S5.

I'm sure you will be happy with your decision to get the A5. I also plan on keeping this car at least 4-5 years and then trading in/up.

As for meeting up, that sounds great. Hopefully it won't be snowing when I get the car. I want to start modding but I will probably just wait until spring.
I am getting Ice Silver, which should be very similar to the Titanium Silver of my 330.

Even though my car has yet to be built, I have gone ahead and ordered winter items for it.
I just received my winter rims/tires from Tirerack yesterday. They are Bridgestone Blizzak WS70's on 225/50 R17's Moda MD12 rims. Total package shipped was under $1,200 and I will also be receiving a $50 refund on the tire purchase.
I find it amusing that Tirerack actually puts a sticker on the tires now for unidirectional tires. There is also a big fat arrow that tells you which way the rotation should be, but I guess people must have still screwed this up.
My WeatherTech mats also came today for the front and the rear.

Hey guys, I know that there are quite a few of us waiting on our '12 S-Line packages. I was hoping to have a common thread to track each person's order status.
This should help people to see if Audi starts pushing orders up, and whether certain order weeks are being filled faster than others. I believe someone here recently took delivery of their car who had an order date of 5/6/11.
If you currently have an S-Line order placed, or recently took delivery, please post the following information:

delivery anywhere from end of October to second week of November ?
how can they be so varied with what should be exact information ?
i do know that a ship (Nippon Highway) left Emden Germany on 10/05/2011 scheduled to arrive at Brunswick GA. on 10/17/2011 hopin to be on that one

That's cool. I am definitely calling my dealer tomorrow. My last update said my car was supposed to get put on the ship this week, so I hope it is.

The car arrived at port (Brunswick GA) on October 4th or 5th. I think the ship's name was Camellia Ace.
My dealer confirmed that the car is in port and is scheduled to arrive at my dealer during the week of 10/17/2011.

I went to my dealer today to ask for a status update. The good news is that I now have a VIN and my car is on the ship as we speak.
On another note, the dealer had a Ibis White A5 S-Line that just came in. It was a customer order but they changed their mind before the car arrived. Anyway, I sat in it for a while and played around. Now I really can't wait for mine to come in. If anyone is looking for one....it wont be there long.
