You can't be serious. A 100HP difference is huge, and if you can't feel that in similarly weight car, you are crazy. The RS4 has what 60 HP on the S5 , and I felt like the S5 was slow as a boat after driving it and the difference between 0-60 is .1 secs between the 2 cars, while the S5 is almost a full second faster than the 3.2 to 60, I don't know what kind of driving you do if you can't feel the difference. The engine it's self and the way it reverberates feels totally different, and it's much tighter car.

The bath you would take on trading in early would negate any money savings in fuel economy.

I just traded a Lexus GS430 for my S5 and the mileage is comparable. Maybe slightly less on my S5 but since selling my Corvette in the fall I really enjoy the power and handling of my S5. It gives me the V8 power that I like with a good ride and great handling. It's the best mix of all worlds for me. I drove an A5 and I liked it, but for me I wanted the V8 and the additional hp.

And I'll believe Consumer Reports (as well as True Delta and now JD Power & Associates) over a bunch of random people on a forum (many of who are judgmental and stubborn, anyway)-especially random North American people on a forum (many of who are the most judgmental and stubborn, anyway) when it comes to the truth about the Volkswagen/Audi Group (and all other vehicles) regarding dependability, durability, quality, reliability, satisfaction and service (no offense).

I call BS on the 35+ as well. I just drove a 2009 A5 S-line manual with 5000 miles (broken in) from San Diego to Texas and at 70 mph cruising I averaged 29.5 miles per gallon when I calculated it and around 31.5 on the trip computer. It sniffed 33 a few times but over the length of a tank it was always just a hair under 30 mpg.

BTW, I will trade you my car for your S5, you just cant get the same growl of the V8 from the 6 cylinder and all the aftermarket exhausts for the 6 cylinder sound like a 6 cylinder trying to be a V8, basically the sound like sh**.
