They gave it a whole two paragraphs of comments, which means they probably haven't given it a proper test. Just voicing their opinion on looks. Of course they put the least flattering photo in the mag -- the front three quarter view of the black S5.
In case we we didn't get the point they also called it a "Minger" which our UK friends know also means ugly... jeez we get it!
I like that they don't mince words though, even if I disagree with them on the styling. Again, just press that should be taken as one person's opinion and promptly ignored.

For example, I personally think the BMW Z4 is one of the UGLIEST cars I have ever laid eyes on. If I wrote a review of the car I would no doubt mention that.
Trust me, when the S5 hits the streets here in the US in the fall, it will get a lot of looks and praise. It looks so much better in motion than in flat photos.
I say bring on the hate! I don't want to see an S5 on every block.

As much as I LOVE the show TG, I consider it a comedy show (never read the magazine), and it really has very little automotive editorial legitamacy. We should focus on what Autoweek, C&D, R&T say about the A5.
Top Gear show as an automotive editorial is like John Steward to CNN. Oh wait, I take that back; John Steward is more informed/itelligent than any CNN/Fox newscast.
