Does anyone know of a source for touch up paint for the rims? I assume that if there is a source they will have the different colors for the different stock rims. Apparently, the low profile tires make it very easy to scratch a rim.
I've been using a Mercedes Benz wheel paint on my 2011 car...the kids must have bumped a wheel with their bicycle pedal or something. The color match is perfect.
Here's the info. You might call them if you don't see what you need on their website:
While it's difficult for me to admit this, I picked up a bottle of bright silver touch up paint (for a Toyota) at the local auto parts store. It turned out to be an excellent match. It was something like $3
uberwgn, you are correct. I went to the local auto parts store and purchased the Dupli-Color paint number TY 01602 Lunar Mist Metalic and it is a match. The touch-up paint/pen is $6.99 or you can get it in the spray can for the same price.

Excellent. I assume that's a Toyota color??
WOW! $7 for touch up? I'm suprised...thought it would be $3 or something near that. Still much less expensive than the alternatives.
If you have any sort of serious touch up work happening, I strongly recommend removing the wheel from the car, lay the wheel down and work in good light. I like to put down a fairly heavy coat and let it sit and shrink. I'll apply more if needed.
It used to be that all German wheels were pretty well the same color (silver). Touch up could be done typically with Wurth Silver wheel aerosol widely available. Manufacturers including Audi started using different silvers to differentiate from competitors. Look at http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/inf...wheel_finishes
It gives most wheel colors used by Audi. The problem is that my research(March 2011), including contacting Audi in Germany, indicated that touch up paint is not available for these colors. For my 19 inch Y Sline wheels the color is W90 (Royal Silver). I got a pretty good match from (http://www.touchuppaint.org/) using (1 oz. Brush-In-Cap Bottle - Paint - 2001 Subaru Forester (Royal Silver - 792)
Item# 85441-1). Good luck!
I looked and looked for a matching paint for my Audi silver wheels and success!!! The Rustoleum "chrome" paint is a dead match. I am attaching a pic of the can. I used a self etching primer, and a high quality 2k clear on my wheels and they look OEM.
