Default TPMS Question.

So I started my car the other day and was told I had low pressure in one of my tires. I checked all of them with just sight and feel, no flat. I looked on the computer in the cars menu and it doesn't give me any info other then saying would you like to store your current tire pressure. Does anyone know how to check the tire pressure through the cars computer? Thanks.

You can't. The MMI doesn't have that capability.

unfortunately TPMS in the A5/S5 doesnt tell you which tire is the low one. check em all, sight and feel is no match for a guage.

Wait- tire pressure readings for each tire aren't shown in the MMI screen? What is the point of the tire pressure monitors? Does it just signal that ONE tire is low, but doesn't tell you the pressure or which tire is low?

My 4 year old Inifiniti tells me the real time pressure in each tire.....Isn't that the point of TPMS?

No, you can't see tire pressures on the screen. The TPMS as Audi uses it just tells you when something is off with your tire pressures.

Apparently not for Audi.

My S8 gives me the exact pressure for each tire.

My wife's Q7 and, apparently, the S5 do not. That sucks.

Why can my S8 do it and not the other models?

because the S8/A8 use a different type of TPMS system that is more expensive.

Audi actually uses 4 different types of TPMS systems...

That is a bit disappointing though. It really is nice to be able to see exact pressures on the MMI. You'd think at the very least they might make that a capability of all S and RS models.
