Give them a recalibrate when the tires are cold. If it still goes off, you definitely got a problem. I was convinced there was a defect somewhere because the TPMS was alarming only 3 weeks after delivery... I checked the levels, and one of them was 10 PSI low, though visually it was okay.

Though I may stick with my digital tire gauge.
As an aside, I usually calibrate the TPMS in my S8 with the tires at 40 PSI. I then pump them up to the normal 44 PSI for that car. I never get the TPMS warning. Of course it's easy to check the pressures in that car via MMI. Digital tire gauge seems to work fine for the BMW.
