I don't really perceive a lag in the 2.0T engine.
The only lag I experience is the initial lag when leaving the stoplight or from a complete stop.
I have a Turbo hose, HiFlo Cat and Exhaust that have helped it a little bit.

Haven't heard of or read any issues of Audi 2.0 turbo lag. There is sometimes a hesitation from a dead stop, which has more to do with throttle programming than turbo behavior. VW's and Audis have a long history of hesitation from a stop, but I believe it's recently improved.

Tiguan, like all VWs, gets the dumbed down version of the EA888 engine that lacks variable valve lift. The Audi version makes significantly more torque, which makes it quicker of the line.

What RPM should the turbo kick in? It feels kinda jerky to me, but then I've never owned a turbo bef
