Volans Leader Hits Panama Canal
For those of you expecting your car on the Volans Leader, I am happy to report that it is awaiting entry to the Panama Canal. Additionally, the San Diego Port Arrivals is now showing an expected early arrival on 10/23. The previous arrival date was 10/25.

Is there a list somewhere of all of the different ships Audi uses that are due to come in sometime in the near future? I would love to know where my car is...unfortunately the dealer didn't give me the info.

I was not able to find one. You have to rely on your dealer to let you know which ship.

My ship hit the canal last tuesday and it took 7 days to get to the San Diego port. They unloaded 1800 cars and set sail within 11 hours of docking in San Diego. Pretty cool.

The Volans Leader came through the Panama Canal on 10/16. Scheduled to arrive in San Diego on 11/23.

That's the same vessel my S5 arrived on back in February. Since I live in San Diego, I made numerous trips to the port, watching the cars unload etc. On my last trip on a Sunday evening, there were numerous car carriers parked on the city streets, awaiting their Monday morning journey. I saw only one coupe on one truck on the very back on the bottom slated for first offload. I could see the interior was Tuscan Brown, so was mine! I could see by lifting the cover slightly over the rear bumper that the car was DSB, so was mine! I could see the window sticker with manual, prestige, rear diff, side assist, so was mine! I knew the last four vin digits, and, yes, this was mine. It was a very cool feeling. Got the call Monday mid morning!
