So i am looking at wanting to get the new s5 when it comes out in june but for those of you who have ordered a car in the past what is the normal wait time. And what all is involved with the process. Thank you for your time in advance.

You should be able to order one in march for June delivery.

Yeah, as soon as ordering opens up in March, you get your butt into an Audi store and put some money down! The car should be here between June and August. We have Audi saying 'Early Summer' and Audi reps saying 'Late Summer'. Go figure - miscommunication at it's best.

Are you in the Bay Area? I'm also waiting for orders to open up for the S5, and not too sure about the process but slowly trying to figure it out before March.

Thanks for all the info and one last question are there better times of the year to order for faster delivery.

i.e. if i order a car in Nov will it not matter because Audi wont take the orders and fill the orders till February.(the months are arbitrary)

I stopped at the dealer to check on progress in ordering the 2013 S5. He found it listed, but of course no orders yet, but it did list two models; the 6-speed and the DSG 7-speed. I don't see the 6-speed anywhere else in the world! My choice will be the 6-speed, if, if fact, I do get that option.

Did your dealer have any clue as to when the listing would post pricing etc? As well, when you state "listing" do you know where the dealer is seeing this? Would also appreciate any dealers logging in to comment on the "process."

Dealers will be getting allocation in April for 2013 models,I dont see the S5 arriving in June.. The new A4 and A5 will be arriving first around July, S5 will be later in the summer.
