Ordered my 2013 S5, due in October, but can't stand the peelers. The dealer has told me it will cost $500 a wheel to get the 2008-2012 5 spoke 19 inch S5 wheels. I assume this is in addition to the $800 19 inch wheel option. Hartmann reps run about $285. Anyone have suggestions on a cost effective swap?

check ebay for some takeoffs if there's a factory design you like better. I noticed that the factory rims are more solid and there will no doubt about the fit.
I bought aftermarket look-alikes and they took lots of weight to balance, were a third of the weight (quality?) and the offset wasn't right despite their efforts to say they were the right ones for my car.

Have to agree with the ebay takeoffs. I don't yet have my S5, but its coming this month. Already have my VIN.
I'm looking for some take-offs to place some all season tires on because the 19" peelers I'm getting come with summer performance tires and I'll need to switch in the winter. Look at these:

Not a fan of the 19" peelers either. Ordered mine with the standard 18" and will consider upgrading to the 5-arm titanium rim, or the 19" RS4 rims. I am staying AWAY from any Chinese replicas, but I do believe there are several quality companies that make replicas domestically (was it AWE?).

My S5, which I will pick up on the 24th will have the 18" stock peelers. I will use those until November, then remove the tires and put on Hakka 7's. In the spring I will buy the Hartman titanium 19" and put on Michelin Pilot Sport 3's. Anyone want some 245-40-18 Pirellis(?) with 2k on them? Make me an offer. Hopefully near Eastern PA.

the stock rims are 18" and referred to as 18" 5-parallel-spoke-S-design wheels.
i too am getting the stock 18's.. but i'm going to use those wheels for my winter set. wish i could get still the stock 5-arm rotor wheels like the canadians do.
