@Nikon1 John: I did not do the OBDEleven update that was waiting in my iPhone and went to get my morning credits. The credits would not work, like you said they got there backside covered and did it on their server. You say "Bastados" I'll join you with MFers. I've had OBDEleven for 840 days and hit them up for 5040 free credits. Like you, I believe I can tune Audi's through the next century and beyond!

Correct me if wrong, but credits are only needed for apps. "Regular" coding changes are free. Is that right? Or, does it depend on which plan a person has? I have Pro w/Lifetime since I bought this a while back.
Interesting that also under the "Plan" section, there is the option to upgrade to "Ultimate" for 1 year. Looking it over out of curiosity, there is zero reason for me to upgrade. At least for what I ever want to do...simple coding tweaks.

Found it - Irrelevant for my 2018 Q7: Vehicle Diagnostic Protection (also known as SFD - Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose) is an additional security layer that requires authorization between the vehicle and manufacturer. It may help to protect people from any fraud, by providing the information on who and when has connected to the control unit. This protection applies to the models manufactured from 2020 with the MQB Evo (VW Golf 8, Škoda Octavia IV, Seat Leon IV, Audi A3 8Y, Q4, etc.) and the MEB (VW ID.3, ID.4, Škoda Enyaq, etc.) platforms, restricting such features as adaptations, coding, parametrizations.
Control units protected by SFD: Engine Electronics, Central Electrics, Instrument Cluster, Gateway Electrics, Multimedia Unit, etc.

Last post on this particular “rant” — Seems they dropped this decision with no prior notice to use users. That’s my main pi$$ing point — just the fact it was not communicated ahead of time; just removes some of my trust in their business.
— Nothing to see here, move along.”

Dropping services without prior notice - is this a German thing? Audi just did it for the 3G and now OBDEleven. On a funny not reminds me of the Seinfeld Soup **** skit.
