Ok - some confirmation - but I just think it's odd.
If the Q3's, A3's, A6's, Q5's, settings stick - why do ours not?
Again, this isn't the first time Audi has us pay for a feature under an option package that requires a year+ wait to resolve it (e.g., the overhead camera setting being saved after re-start).

We still stand nowhere on the exhaust setting sticking... it just doesn't - unless you cycle out/in the modes, even if you have already (manually) selected "Sport" transmission mode...
HBA setting for Q3, A3 and Q5 is that from the factory or is it a OBD11 coding? If OND11 if someone will post the coding perhaps we could go through the modules see if we can find the change.

Factory OEM.
I have posted in the A3 forum on Audizine requesting someone to post a printout of various modules.
That was 2 days ago.
No responses.

Any help appreciated.

The coding I would love to find is all A3 and A6's at this point:
1) the exhaust issue coding
2) the interior ambient lights (on the Q3/A3 they turn on as you approach and stay on for the time set in I'm home so you can leave the car versus just the B&O strip on the door)
3) HBA settings to stick

Any help posted other places appreciated....

I think I may have found out how to make Auto High Beam stick.

Try this:

Go to Unit 9
Access: 31347
Adaption
Find: "channel 5 assistance light functions-Fernlichtassistent reset"
Change to: not active

What I want to figure out is to disable the compass when you input a destination. There was a work around in which Waze (with destination) did not activate the compass, as Waze was not an option in apple CarPlay and android auto previously(?).

That definitely works on MQB platform cars. I tried to follow the same coding as I did on my Golf R, but couldn't find this adaptation. For the MQB platform there was also a way to add a menu function to turn the HBA setting memory on/off.

I noticed this for the first time today using CarPlay to navigate. I’d like this changed also. Who cares about rotating digital representation of an analog compass?!?

Been trying to find the setting that activates it. 09 Central Electronics has a "Navigation / Compass" setting, but disabling that simply removes the map overview altogether on the VC. There might be a setting somewhere in the 5F - Information Control Unit

Has anyone tried and verified that this works? I may give it a try tomorrow assuming I can figure it out using a Ross-Tech Vag-Com VCDS interface. I've run into difficulty when trying to follow OBDEleven coding instructions on the Vag-Com VCDS on some coding changes.

I was planning to try this today schedule permitting, I'll report back if I do.
