Change to: not active
Does this work on Matrix LED equipped cars?

I honestly don't think so. That coding is for the Audi TT, which is a diff platform, like the golf. This coding doesn't appear in ours, and I haven't found anything close to it

I can confirm this as I tired to do this today on my '19 RS5 using a Ross-Tech VCDS and was unsuccessful.
  • Went to 09 Cent. Elect.
  • went to Adaptation
  • Searched for "channel 5 assistance light functions-Fernlichtassistent reset"
  • There was no such option
Then I tried again by entering the access code prior to entering adaptation:
  • Went to 09 Cent. Elect.
  • Selected Security Access and entered 31347 - value was rejected
Perhaps with an OBDEleven pro via an android phone it would be different but I don't have an android phone.

I was able to get automatic unlock when approaching the ca to work (but not lock) by using my Ross-Tech VCDS. I had initially tried the the auto lock/unlock via OBDEleven app. However, it didn't work. I had to use VCDS:
46 - Central Convenience
07 - Coding
Byte 28
Bit 6 - automatic opening
set to "active"
Interestingly, byte 28, bit 7 is for automatic closing/locking. I also set this to "active". However, walking away from the car with the key in hand did not result in the car locking automatically. Approaching the car does result in the car automatically unlocking.

So I figured out the DRL ramping for B9 A4/S4s. The coding in the current Google doc only applies to the B9 A5/S5/RS5 for ramping as I have communicated before.

Instead of "dimming_to_sl", A4/S4 owners should use "off_at_drl_or_sl". This achieves the same ramping up and down effect.

I am still unable to figure out how to keep the DRLs to remain on WITHOUT taillights (i.e. Scandinavian Taillights). This is a good compromise for me.

Having trouble enabling the lap timer. In OBDeleven, I navigate to dashboard-->long coding-->binary image in the top right. The Google doc says to select Byte 1 and enable Bit 3. When I go there, it looks like it is already enabled, but I don't have any lap timer display as far as I can tell. Does this look right?

For what it's worth, I have enabled the sport HUD that displays the lap timer, and it works fine (the lap timer just reads 00:00:00).

Sounds like you have it enabled if it's showing up. Check out page 104 of the owners manual to see how to use / start it.

This doesn't work because it doesn't exist in the scan options with my OBDEleven. I've tried to look a while back when I found a whole laundry list of items from the TT forums, but most of their options differ from our platform.

I wonder if Long Coding (bytes/bit) can be figured out from it.

Anyone verified if this works on 2018 B9 platform?

Probably not - I think the prior response indicates this is an MQB platform adaptation that doesn't apply to MLB B9.
