So the parts for our fix came in. Trying it out now. So far sizing and connector are right on. Will report back if it works.

Can't wait to hear back on whether this works. If it does, I will need to order them for my install too. Best of luck!

@BreedsAs Where did you buy the aftermarket RS5 grille please? on eBay?
I have searched a few but not sure if the fitment is guaranteed.

It's almost been a month since my last update!
Anyways, I have my subwoofer fiberglassed and tuck away in a sealed enclosure where the cargo cubby used to be.
Better pics tomorrow.

Thanks guys!
I'll post specs in a second after I help freesole.

Freesole, here are the pictures. Let me know if you need clarification. I used a telescoping magnet rod in the first picture to retrieve (and to put back on the reinstall) the bumper/fender screw (second pic) so that in didn't drop. It will be a tough one to get if it does. The third pic is the push pin.

Freesole,

After you get the wheels liner torx screws off, then pull the liner back, only two more things needs to be removed in there.
The push pin, then the single torx screw holding the bumper to the fender.
You salready have the four screws underneath removed right?
Then you'll have a few screws at the top of the grille to remove.
They are under the plastic cover that the hood latech release sits on. Do you'll have to remove the hood latch either. It has a slide clip on the rear of it that you can remove with a little flat screwdriver.

Thank you so much man. This is so helpful. I was going to attempt it again today but didn't have the time to. Since I will be heading out of town for a while, I won't be able to go at it again until 2018 With this info though, I think I will get it right for the new year.
