Here in Ohio, the maximum tint allowed by law is 50%, I'm living on the wild side with a 40% tint. I'm blown away by the 5% tint -- how is it at night? At that degree of tint it almost seems you could look at the eclipse of the sun. I sat in a demo car with a 20% tint, it is blowing my mind at 5%.
Having said all of this, your SB is stunning. I keep reading that Audi will be bringing an RS5 SB to the US as a '19 model. After reading the test report of the RS5 coupe in the October Road & Track and seeing yours, I'm trying to "justify" trading my '18 S4.
Congrats on a great looking S5 SB!

The 5% tint is something that takes getting used to. I have had it on my cars since 2006 so I am used to seeing with it.
The only annoying issues with it are;
1. The more tinted a window is, the more it becomes mirror like when the dome lights reflect off it at night.
2. Sometime you have to look well before taking turns so that you don't pop a curb or something.
3. Parallel parking at night. I rarely try this at any time of the day because it is not worth curb rashing the wheels.
On to the 034 drop springs, they ride really good. They are supposed to only give .8" of drop, but I cannot tell you the net amount of drop with certainty because I installed the 20s (which have a tire about 1" greater in diameter) and the drop at the same time.
I actually installed the drop and wheels/tires myself. The rear was easy, but the front was another story. The front would have been easy, but the steering knuckles/spindles had to be pulled outwards a bit to allow access to remove the struts. Doing so disengaged the front CV axles and they were a royal PITA to get back in place as I am not use to doing that. I am sure there has to be some quicker technique than what I did.

BreedsAs, it looks stunning so far. Can't wait to see it once you're done with the blackout process!!
Cracks me up that your "old" car was a 2017 Camaro SS........."old"...........that was damn nice looking as well!

I don't drive my cars much at night (if at all) and when I had 18% on my F-Type, I did have to drive it in the dark a few times and it wasn't easy...so I can't even imagine 5% limo tint on the sides, sounds somewhat dangerous to me and at least around here, you'd get pulled over in a minute.
I will admit it does look tough, looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Thank you guys!
I won't lie, 5% is hard to see out at times. Mainly only when the interior dome lights are on at night, and then when taking turns on dark roads.
The process is continuing though.
I shaved off the rear, then put back a black S5 badge. I also have the diffuser off for paint along with the rear silver trim that goes around it. My black optic pieces are showing up 1 by 1 too.
Pics below, more coming soon.
Unfortunately, I was sent two of the same prined mirror caps (both passenger side). So now the wait continues.
