BreedsAs, I didn't even notice you that you were lacking the sport suspension until you mentioned it above. I just lowered mine with the same springs as you and I have the sport suspension. I thought sport suspension was standard on the S5? I must be wrong, Shhhh don't tell my wife.
You are correct the ride is almost the same as stock. I am very please with this as I have installed springs on past cars and the results were a Go Cart type ride.
I have bit updated my build thread in a while so here's a few things.
1. XPEL was applied on about the first half of the hood, the door handle cups, the door edges, and the rear bumper area right below the hatch.
2. A thick and charcoal colored PPF was also applied over the front sidemarkers in the headlights. I was not about to dish out $4k for European lights that just have a different sidemarker color.
3. The black mirror caps were installed.
4. A carbon fiber shifter was installed to match the other CF trim. It completed the look.
Next week, the black optic front end pieces will be installed.
Later in Novembe, a customer subwoofer enclosure will also be installed.
Should be a good month!
It's available at Tag motorsports. It's outrageously priced. $400
My brother does carbon layup for a living (road bikes) and that is INSANE. That part probably costs about 5-10 dollars to make and a most could be sold for $50 if auto enthusaists werent so ignorant to the cost of carbon.
Also for 400 bucks that layup is a little sloppy (angle of the weave) doesnt look bad but could be better.
