I had to restart it for both times I downloaded it. Just click on the word "download" on the Java download box.

They release 2 per year so I bet they all count and the free updates will be gone after two and a half year. Not sure where my 2019 started but I suspect 2018/2019 so I'm done after these:

2019
2019/2020
2020
2020/2021
2021

Well John,

I just downloaded the 2018/2019 maps last night and when I went to download the 2020 maps it said I will have to "purchase it from an Audi partner".
This really sucks as i have obviously just used up my last free update on a map that was updated one day later!

Not that this will make you feel any better, but it’s not based on the number you download. It’s based upon the updates made available, after you took delivery of your car. So even if you had never downloaded 2019/2020, the 2020 maps would be the last “free” one.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up for me. Obviously I meant to say I downloaded 2019/2020 maps last night. I wonder how much my dealer will charge me for the 2020 update at my next service?

I think you mean 750mb/s. And that's a lowercase "b" signifying mega bits / second. (End of geek speak ) Still, that's extremely fast @ 3/4 of a gigabit / second.

Just think of what all you could do with 750GB hardwired connection...the matrix would have you for sure.

If you're willing to forego having the latest / greatest, you can form another strategy like downloading every other update.

What makes you think it doesn't already?
