Hi, just joined today. Recently took delivery of a 2018 s5 prestige sportback. This will be my first mod. Could you please send me info how to order. Thanks!
Thanks for the request. Your Private Messages are disabled so email me at MHPayP@outlook.com and I'll provide the details.
For anyone else interested, I'm now out of these versions and I will have a new revision available in early June 2021. I will provide details in a new thread at that time.
Thanks to all who have placed orders in the last 2 years.
I've upgraded my phone and now require adjusting the width of the opening slot. Unfortunately since I used the 3m tape it's quite firmly attached. Any suggestions on getting it loosened?

I would try one of those plastic trim removal tool and slowly pry the cradle away from the armrest.
Also, the trim piece under the armrest where you installed the cradle can be removed if you find it easier to work outside the car. And if you want to use the mounting screws but do not want to leave holes in the car when you sell it, the replacement part is amazingly inexpensive at $8.08 : https://www.genuineaudiparts.com/oem...-8w0864249a4pk
An update to my removal of the 3M adhesive attachment. It actually went quite well without too much of a problem. I did pop out the plastic trim piece and brought the whole complex inside for better leverage, so thanks for that excellent suggestion.
The 3M adhesive remains a fairly cohesive rectangular gel. Gently pulling the two pieces apart with my hands, I was able to peel the 3M adhesive and keep it intact on the cradle. After adjusting the necessary screws, I firmly pressed the adhesive pieces back against the trim and it re-adhered fairly well. So far it has not failed when I seat the phone. We'll see what happens when the summer heat starts up again.
I recently made a version of the adjustable crade for my wife's Q5 center console storage bin. The Q5 bin itself is pretty similar to the B9.5 bin but the surroundings (cup holders, etc...) are not the same so I'm not sure if it would fit in the B9.5 or not. If you are interested in trying it out, PM me. For now it's only for USB-C phones so Android Auto but no Apple Carplay.
