Default 2022 Radio “initializes” every few days

My new 2022 A5 radio “initializes every few days resulting in a loss of radio favorites. Any idea how to fix?

Mine did this a few times as well, but hasn't for about a month *fingers crossed* No idea what caused it. Someone else with a '22 posted that this was happening to them as well.

This is happening in my MY22 Q5, along with losing car settings like mirrors folding up, etc. The MIB3 MMI is just pretty atrocious overall; touchscreen, functionality and stability with the web service/cloud implementation. Makes me want to keep my B9 A5 SB MIB MMI for just about ever...or maybe until MIB4, if it improves anything.

I'll have to look at the software version, because my RS5 it's happened a few times but my 22 Q7 it hasn't faulted even once.

Has anyone had this apparently random "reset" happed to the hatch setting on their Sportback? The ceiling in my garage is kind of low and if the garage door is rolled up the overhead clearance is even less. So, I have the limit set on the rear hatch to stop about 3 inches below where the garage door sits when in the up position. I'm concerned that at some point the car will reset and that memory setting gets lost and the hatch is going to smash into door or ceiling.

Not seeing any of that here on the A5 TouchScreen system (AFAIK, MIB3) .

As someone said, you might need a software update. However, not sure if you can get it over-the-air or if that is a dealer-thing. Good thing is, either way ... it should be free or cheap.

Has never reset on our Q5-e (and never happened on Acura MDX either).

However, you might want to install some strategically-placed foam on garage door just-in-case. Back when we had the MDX, I attached some small pieces of pipe-insulation, just in case someone accidentally pressed the wrong key-fob button and the hatch tried to open while the garage door was still closed. It just bounces-off and closes with no scratches. Same principle.

Yeah, some foam might be a good idea
