A4/A5 Dashboard replacement speakers set for *** (Audi Sound System) or EU Base Stereo
Someone asked me to put together a set of speakers for them to replace all 3 dashboard speakers on a car with an Audi Sound System.
Since I am waiting around for various parts to arrive to complete my doors, I had time to kill.
Needless to say they were blown away by the results. And I do mean that. The guy couldn't imagine that his HU could produce such clarity without any other external amplification.
What he received was 3 Faitalpro speakers, already shaped, with the connectors and crossovers already installed. If you have followed my threads or have done this yourself, you will know this takes time and patience.
All they had to do was literally pop the speaker grills open and swap the speakers out.
I linked them to the thread that I made to open the grills and he had never taken any trim off before and yet didn't break a clip.

Oh and BTW those speakers use a Metric 5.5 hex socket. Luckily a US 7/32 is about the right size.
Sound Interesting? Drop me a line, let's see if I can find the time for you too.

Morning Bruce,
Thought I was happy with what I had previously done. Now my appetite is again whetted.
Center dash - Faitalpro -4FE32 to match the corner dash 3FE32?
Is the center dash connector the same as the corner driver? If not could you send a reference for the proper one?
Thanks.

In the *** system the Centre main channel uses the same plug as the sides. It's only in the B&O where the plug is different on those dashboard side speakers.
The 4FE32 is perfect for the Centre and matches brilliantly with the 3FE22.

Have also noticed that if I set the "Focus" to Front, the center speaker plays more aggressively - if that's a proper description. It kind of fades into obscurity when set to All.

Since you can never turn it off, you should have a great speaker in there. Quite frankly that factory centre is shocking.

So i just received the dashboard kit made by @bruce_miranda of 2 x Faitalpro 3FE22 (with custom crossover + plug&play plug) & 1 x centre Faitalpro 4FE32 (with plug & play plug)
All i can say is WOOOOW! Night & Day difference, i really got goose bumps! it's like i have a brand new sound system in my car and I couldn't believe it. You cannot not hear the difference! Who would have thought that MIDS & HIGHS are super clear! The stock speakers are literally garbage compared to this kit.
I can't thank enough @bruce_miranda for the help and support!
It's super easy to install, all you need is maximum 15-30 min and you are all set!
here are many pictures of the install

An 16ohm is very subtle with the sides without demanding attention - which is how I think it should be. But some people have preferred the 4ohm, which sounds a bit more defined. A personal choice I guess.
I have played with the 16, 8 and 4 and the 3 women in my house couldn't agree on which was better. So I shipped these out with an 8ohm. You can't go wrong with an 8ohm. But if you can return a driver, maybe audition both?
