I don’t like the way the car feels when Lane assist is on as I feel like I’m fighting the wheel sometimes. I feel there is excessive resistance from the wheel at times especially going into a curve, and it makes me feel less confident about the handling. Are any of you guys feeling that resistance or am I just making this up in my head?

I find myself using it quite a bit although I think the algorithm can be improved.

If you're driving on the freeway with wide lanes, I find that the lane assist steers you back and forth between the lines - makes you feel like a bowling ball on a lane with gutter guards (if that makes sense). I mean, the system already sees both lines, I don't understand why it cannot center your in the lane versus steering you side to side like a bumper car.

I think the steering wheel sensor is there for liability issues, since the auto-driving capability is not there yet. There are stupid people out there that get into accidents because they rely 100% on the autonomy and forget that they're on the road with non-autonomous vehicles.

you can adjust the lane sensitivity so it doesn't bounce you around like that.

This feature is thigh operated. Adjust steering wheel to the lowest position so that it touches your thighs. When the wheels turn it will rub against your thighs. This is how I do my daily commute. I find that the system works better when intervene less.
