Any new RS5 plug-in hybrid Sportback could end up with a trunk the size of the now dearly departed cabriolet. Just have a look at the trunk in the new Mercedes C63s - it now has 324 litres, down from 445 in the previous V8 model. By comparison, the Golf has 380 litres. That's ridiculous.

I'm already at 60,000 km. Perhaps the bigger issue is my wife loves the S5 Sportback and won't even look at anything else. I'm sure she would settle for a 2026 B10 but based on what we've now seen I think I'd rather pick up another B9.5 a year early. Too bad Audi: I was ready to spring for an RS Avant.

My ‘21 RS5 coupe is approaching 50k miles. In January I placed an order for a ‘24, same model. Dealer says the order was “accepted “ by Audi, but no allocation yet for a build slot. I am losing hope.

The chassis appears to just be MLBevo in general. But the vehicle is a few inches longer. And we don't know how the new PHEV components will size out. But comparing the B9.5 Q5 45 TFSI and the B9.5 Q5 55 TFSIe would give you a general idea. Which the two have the same cargo specification (25.6 ft³ with sunroof). You can be sure the PHEV will accommodate no spare tire of any manner, same as for the B9 TFSIe; it's all consumed by the HV battery.
The B9 sedan cargo is 12.0 ft³. The B9 coupe cargo is 10.9 ft³. The B9 sportback cargo is listed as 21.8 ft³. But it's clear they're "cheating" the comparison the same way they do with the B9 wagon, 24.2 ft³, and Q5 crossover, 25.6 ft³, measuring to the roof instead of to the cargo cover. The B10 measurements are 15.7 ft³ for the sedan and 16.8 ft³ for the wagon. Those numbers are clearly not "cheated" in the same manner, not with a 40"x43" floorprint. That floorprint and those volumes give heights of ~16-17". My B8 avant is a 39"x40" floorprint and about 16" to the cargo cover. So it's unlikely to be smaller cargo hold, just a more appropriately measured one.
While the subframe/suspension seems to be unchanged, no one has commented that the steering is now all progressive. I pointed out that the RoW RS4/RS5 had been switched to progressive under code 1N7 starting mid Dec '23. Not sure why NAR stayed linear. But they're all going to be progressive racks on the B10, according to the Audi "basic information". And the front brakes have clearly had a change; I expect the rears are the same single piston floating as they've been for a long time.
That button for the headlights, looks like they're doing the same thing with the forced Auto setting. You can switch it off, but it always defaults to Auto on ignition on. This manner of operation was introduced with the D5 A8 (SSP 664, pages 88-89).
I don't care that the lock/unlock buttons are now down next to all those other capacitive touch buttons and not next to the door handle where they belong. And the passenger doesn't even get a lock button?

Is the progressive steering similar to the dynamic steering that was optional on the B9 S5? If so, that would mean that all of the performance features from the previous gen are now standard on the B10, which would probably amount to a decent savings if one were comparing a like-to-like spec, assuming the new model isn't significantly more expensive than B9.5. While I expect the price to be higher, the Sportback was $4k more expensive than the sedan as well as more expensive than both the 3-series and C-class, so I think the pricing of B10 will be between the old sedan and sportback (but closer to the latter).
