I just purchased this grill from eBay (fully honeycomb design, no 2 sections). Will post here after the install. I have a premium plus, so no camera mount to worry about.
My shop "plastic welded" it into place. I don't know how they did it technically, other than it is permanently fused on.
IIRC, freesole said he was able to transfer the badge from his factory S5 grille to the RS5 grille by just sticking it into one of the honeycomb openings. Said it was a snug fit, and stayed fine. Not sure if he's updated since.

Mine came with an RS5 badge that had the exact same plastic mounting as my S5 badge. But, the RS5 badge had a couple of the 'fins' ground down. So I took a file and made my S5 badge look exactly like the RS5 badge, and it snapped in perfectly.
You can make the stock badge fit rather easily, I sued a little strip of 3m double sided tape (available at hardware store, black, 10 or 20 pound strength with red backing). Works great.
Are you guys with the RS grills painting the IC also? Its hard to tell from the pics.
I only painted the crash bar. Did the whole bar with the foam piece off, as I wasn't 100% sure if the foam piece would still fit. Since the foam piece fit (minus notches for the sensor), it went back on.
Hoping to get some pointers on where people got their "S5" logo to put into the new RS grill. eBay? Audi OEM? Does it snap in or did you have to glue it? I just got one of these grills and was thinking probably easier to install the logo before mounting the grill. Links appreciated. Thanks!

Mine came with an RS5 badge. It has the same mount, but you have to 'knock off' a couple plastic pieces on it (just copy the RS5 badge), and it clips in just like it does on the OEM grill. Others have had to glue it, tape it, etc.
Just got mine installed yesterday at EMD Auto in Anaheim, CA. I live in Las Vegas and drove over there. 2 hour install. Awesome work! They also ship them.
