I wanted to use OBD11 on our Q7 to defeat the *** (my wife hates it). Perhaps coding it will work for us since we keep the AC on throughout the summer and winter. Thankfully my RS5 doesn't come with ***.

It's simple with OBDEleven, 100 credits and ten minutes or so. Whomever designed (***) at Audi needs a swift kick in the ***, I'd be more than happy to do it!

My OBDeleven arrives today so I'll be having some coding fun over the holidays on both cars!

Regardless of installing a permanent override, I suggest you also take the car back to your dealer to look for error codes. To have this happen several times over such a short ownership is not acceptable and needs to be corrected. There may be a secondary issue and you should have confidence that all the parts of your new-to-you car are working as designed.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the rest of the car.

Yes you will, checkout the thread on here with all the changes you can make, it's in Google Docs and there is a list of all the changes and how to perform them, very nicely done and maintained by a forum member.

Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...MjDUXM/preview

Warning: you could be in there for hours!

This is good advice, I would do this before installing the (***) kill switch like Shiftwolf recommends, could be something that needs to be corrected.

Don't forget to get your free credits everyday, 6 a day and they add up quick, just ask Nikon1, right John?

I got 500 free credits with the purchase of the pro model, and I've done everything I can think of so far (still have 350 credits left).
