I have an RS5 with only 8K miles, the check engine light came on the day after my very first service. Dealer said it was the EVAP System High Pressure Purge Line NVLD switch was bad, Any thoughts?
I recently got this same code, albeit I'm at about 16.5k miles. After Audi replaced the EVAP, I got the CEL about three weeks later.... This is the 4th engine light so far.
1st CEL - "Rich fuel, or whatever". Maybe this was my fault but I'm starting to have doubts. The Audi techs did claim that the fuel smelled like rotten eggs... (incident happened Fall 2018)
2nd CEL - Fault invalid, software update removed it. (July 2020)
3rd CEL - EVAP issue; EVAP replaced (August 2020)
4th CEL - Pending diagnostics today (September 2020)

What turned out to be the diagnostic? Car threw up the code today at 21k miles. Really hoping it’s not going to be something that’s a hassle

I'm interested to hear what turns out to be your issue. I've had a repeating CEL for 3 years now, about once per year. Today I'm at 19K miles. Code always points to Cylinder 1 misfire. Audi techs have moved the coil and plug from another cylinder to see if it follows. No resolution each time since it doesn't repeat after clearing the code. My only suspicion is that I have filled up with non top tier gas (always 93 octane) for 2 of the 3 times (I don't remember what I did the first time). I checked with others on this forum and no-one else seems to have any issues with fuel brand. Keep me posted on your situation. Right now Audi wants to keep my car for several weeks, driving it, diagnosing it, etc. I said no way I'm letting a tech drive my RS5 for weeks. At least it is documented if my situation gets worse.
Any updates on this issue?
I'm planning to pull the trigger on a 2024 S5 Prestige Cab and would like to be psychologically prepared for the possibility of issues and how to deal with them with the dealer or Audi of America.
