Correct. There's got to be a couple different stories behind this one.
First, what Texan was so fond of Carolina Blue that they wanted their car painted in it?
Second, why was the car rejected when it came in?
Being that it's so odd and so expensive, it's probably gonna sit on the lot for a long time.

I am sure it would have sold by now if it was Riviera. It will eventually move, but they will have to swallow at least 12% off MSRP + any offers/incentives.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but that Carolina Blue is actually a good looking car. Not saying I would buy it, but....
BTW, I’m seeing $5,000 discounts on several cars on Cars.com. I find that very interesting. I guess it’s just part of the general fact that sedans don’t sell, and these RS5s are quite pricy. I currently have a 540 BMW. For the same money as the RS5 I think I’d have to go with a 2020 M550 with 523 hp. But I admit the RS5 is a much better looking car for those who prioritize looks.

So I misspoke when I said there was only one Sportback with blue stitching. There is one other with Alaska Blue stitching, but the exterior is Mexico Blue rather than Riviera. This one has apparently sold after being on the floor for a while.

Wow, what a car! That's the kind of car that someone in fifty years will be researching, and they might find this and smile.
Why do people drive boring cars? Never will understand that.
