Factory, no. There are a number of third-party-solutions that are plug’n’play for the B9 that a lot of members have installed themselves or had installed. IMO — This was one of the best options installed in my car.

No. I ended up buying a 3rd key fob from the dealer and using that for the remote start. You have to buy a new key fob, used ones cannot be reprogrammed as several users here found out after buying them on ebay.

As John said in the post prior to this one, you have to buy the Fob from Audi and take both of your existing factory Fobs with you for your Audi dealer service center to program both your car & the new fob.
You DO NOT have to buy the fob and the mechanical key — they are sold separately. The installer will remove the mechanical key & the fobs battery tray prior to installing the fob into the remote starts fob container as shown below:
This fob reader then gets buried someplace / anyplace in your car. Remember — it does not contain the battery & tray, which limits the possible exposure IF someone steals your car and finds the fob. The only danger is if the thief has an Audi fob battery tray. In that case — you’re hosed.
