Apologies, John. Until I saw the product, I didn't know I needed it... so it didn't occur to me to search and/or ask.

@Ascari_Blue_A5 — Certainly no apologies needed. I know the search function in this software is abysmal. So many of the members have already asked / commented about this feature in the B9 models that, in my case, I forgot this “feature” even existed. Long before these dongles were introduced, the other option was to “code” the feature out with an OBDEleven or some other coding device.

One of the members way back when … started a thread where members could post about unknown & favorite discovered features in the (at the time) “new B9 p” and it was a phenomenal resource for new owners. I’m sure it’s buried 300 pages back in this sub-forum but if it could be resuscitated and updated to the B9.5 platform, that would be a great tool for Audi owners.

I was under the impression that the OBD11 method involved keeping your AC on all the time, no?

The HVAC needs to be on, but the AC can be turned off, and the S/S is still disabled.

Here's the link for all the OBDEleven B9+ coding:

Note: Be careful using this resource you can make changes to it and then a forum member needs to go and fix it.

I have tried searching for this, and even finding threads, but the answers are all inconclusive...
Does anyone have a DEFINITIVE answer if there is away to code out Start/Stop via VCDS but WITHOUT having the AC on? Another words a "pure" code out that will make Start/Stop "sticky" post restart (like my Q5 TDI is natively).

The answer is no, you cannot disable stop/start system nor default it to deactivated on engine start via any means. That ability back in B8 is gone in B9. You can manipulate the triggers for various overrides of the stop/start system. Which is what the "A/C hack" is. Or just operate in a known override state, like being in Dynamic (assuming that's still true in B9.5). The best solution is to get the wiring plugin that simulates the button press after engine start to restore the state when you previously turned the engine off. If there was a coding workaround, they wouldn't have bothered to develop a hardware solution that has to be built, inventoried, shipped, and installed.

This forum is in serious need of sticky threads, such as the OBDEleven coding and unexpected feature threads.

@SMac770 Thank you for a clear reply!
Btw, being in Dynamic (i always use this mode, but in "D" not "S") does NOT deactivate the feature.
Ether way, ordered the dongle.... I wish there was something similar to idiotic presense....
