I have a question about the key fobs...
I received two keys, but I wonder why they are different in look and feel. One key seems more substantial than the other. Both have the mechanical key, but only one key, as it seems too me, memorize the settings as mentioned in the user manual.
What set of keys did you receive?

Yes, one glossy black key and one matte finish key is normal so that you can differentiate them if you turn on the "remote control key" setting in the MMI under vehicle settings.

this is a timely thread in that I'm trying to get the key profile to work on my A5 SB. I have the option turned on in the MMI to save the profile to the key, but it doesn't seem to be working. I went thru the steps with each key separately to set the seat and mirror positions. I'm expecting that when I open the door the key will trigger the seats and mirrors to move to the position saved on the key without having to push the button on the door, but no dice. Is there something I'm missing?

Oh crap. My second fob would of just sat in a drawer for years if not for this thread. I didn’t even look at it.
I was was thinking it was a bit odd that the fob I had would of looked nicer with a metal button for the trunk release instead of the black plastic...and now it does.
Thanks!

Thanks. I got it working. Much to my surprise, each key required going in and setting the "save profile to key" option in the MMI. I did it once and figured I was good to go, but the seat setting was only working for one key. Once I turned this on with the 2nd key everything worked. Kinda weird, but that's the quirkiness of the MMI....
