When I took delivery, the sales guy was showing me the plastic tag thing with the scratch off code. When I got home and started going through the process to assign the key user for the MMI, I realized that somehow that tag had gotten left at the dealer. He mailed it out to me, it got lost in the mail. He ordered me a new one, which finally arrived Saturday.

Last night I was attempting to put the code into the MMI to assign myself as the key user. It didn't accept the code. Thought I had done it wrong, re-entered. Again, rejected. Says I have 8 more attempts.

I'm wondering if somehow the replacement tag didn't get coded for my VIN or something? Any way to tell? Any idea what I should do next, other than take it in to the dealer (dealer is an hour and a half away)?

Thanks. Did that, turns out the service department sent me someone else's tag. Starting over from zero now.
