Dealer sent me this photo last night while I was playing golf - Somehow I prioritized that over going to pick up a new toy. First world problems, I guess
All tucked away post PDI in their lockup last night (it passed). T-minus 3 hours
Finally had a chance to get some decent pictures yesterday. Great way to start the week!
Also had a chance to install the following:
OEM Carbon fiber gloss mirror caps
OSRAM LEDriving Dynamic Mirror Indicators (black edition) - Alex@Europrice can get you set up with this (thanks, buddy!)
RS Design package shifter (black alcantara)
Spent some time in the garage last night. Installed the following:
ECS carbon fiber engine beauty cover enhancers (OEM CF piece is backlogged with no ETA)
ECS carbon fiber ECU cover
034 X34 carbon fiber intake and inlet
034 billet aluminum front upper strut brace
Also last night - Since Audi in their infinite wisdom decided to not offer an RS badged all-weather trunk mat, I made my own. Fit isn't perfect but I figure I can address that with a heat gun later if it really bothers me (it might).
Requirements:
Weathertech A5 trunk liner
Import Image Racing "Audi Sport" stickers
Carpet knife to cut out spots for the tie-downs (I think mine was actually for cutting synthetic turf)
Last mod the other night - I removed the stock 6.75" subwoofer in the spare tire area. You really need a soldering iron to remove the factory wires directly - I recommend going this route (rather than cutting) because the factory subwoofer wiring is pretty tight without much slack for a DVC sub with a larger magnet. You also need to "break" the Kicker "beauty ring" to get it to sit correctly inside of the factory plastic enclosure.
Also added:
Bruce Miranda/Mironics subwoofer splitter cable (thanks buddy!) - This will be necessary when I take the next steps addressing the factory B&O system over the next few days/weeks
