Just went to put on my new plate frame and ran into trouble. It's never easy... The top left screw is turning freely, but not coming out. Whatever the screw was screwed into is now spinning freely
. I opened the sport back and there's no easy / obvious means of getting access to the backing bolt.
Any suggestions (besides taking off the interior trim pieces)? Maybe attaching an electric screw driver and trying to back it out at a high rpm and hoping the bolt catches on something?

I'm thinking about trying to fabricate something that uses the existing screw holes that doesn't involve a universal mount that will also need to be modified.
Audi could definitely do better here.
