I had the same thought but their numbers are the max gain at a specific RPM. The above chart from their site that shows the gains by RPM. For 93 the +90 is around 3000 RPM
Moderately irritating that the B9 RS tune is out before the B9 S tune - meh.
Don't fret too much, this still requires you to remove the ECU and send it to APR to be unlocked. They'll get more takers on an RS5 where they might not daily their car than with the S5 where it's more likely a daily driver
How does this compare to the JB4? I wonder whether these gains are worth a TD1 for most people.
The gains on 93 are not impressive enough to justify a TD1 for me personally, but peak numbers aren't everything. Going to wait and see how these cars perform once people start tuning. If I had to get something right now, I might just stick to a piggyback from ABT or JB4.
As someone who has ever run e85 before, my question is, if they flash your ecu to e85, are you stuck with requiring ethanol at all times? Or can you still run standard petrol optionally?
So if I go on a road trip and there aren’t any stations that supply e85 on the road, am I **** out of luck, or can I switch the program to accommodate different fuel types?

Its not user switchable currently. You will always have to put in E85. If you want to switch back to regular gas then you will have to take it in to be re-flashed. APR actually states that their E85 tune is not a flex-fuel equivalent and you can damage your engine running regular gas on the E85 tune. They may come out with a switch on the fly tune map down the road.

JB4 on Map 3, 93 Oct with my mods (AWE perf cats, Eventuri intake) = 511 AWTQ / 442 AWHP...temps in low 60s on a Mustang AWD Dyno back in December. They also provided a "Dynojet Estimated HP" of 508 AWHP for whatever that's worth. I didn't get a stock baseline dyno...
APR Stg 1 93 Oct = 520 AWTQ / 438 AWHP (for what should be a relatively safe & reliable tune, hopefully) on a stock RS5 seems solid to me considering their baseline of 428 AWTQ / 389 AWHP. (figs from their "Power & Torque at the Wheels" graph)
Did APR use a Dynapack dyno for testing?
PS - Congrats APR! Looking forward to parts (cooling & turbo inlet pipes please) and Stg 2 / Stg 3 tunes. I'm only a couple hours away, would love to make the trip.
