I believe that what you are describing in your car is only available in m/y 2019. My 2018 S5 Coupe is not equipped with said box.

I believe phone box was offered in markets outside of NA in 2018. But yes, it’s part of MY19 NA A5 and variants. Seems cool, but without wireless CarPlay, etc its less cool (to me)

The "Repeater" center console is in my 2018 S5 Sportback that was built July 25th 2017. As for Wireless Carplay/Android Auto it will use and need power anyway for long trips, so you need to plug it in there anyway. The Repeater has the USB 1 and USB 2 connections in the center console, not by the 12v Receptacle.
