I got my car at the end of December and today was the first opportunity to wash it. It was filthy! But, in NE you don't get many 'warm' days. Yes, I washed it in the rain, today was my only opportunity before the temp drops to below freezing again.
The rims were especially dirty. This is my first Audi, do the Audi brake pads always create so much dust, or is it because they're brand new and needed breaking in?

I experienced the same. The brakes become filled with brake dust. Good thing my winter wheels are gun metal so they don’t look obvious.

Wheel Wax is an excellent product, for keeping brake dust to a minimum, in my experience.
I'm actually going to look into the STEK DYNOshades Light Protection film to get the effect I want on the taillights https://www.stek-usa.com/dynoshades

+1
I use Smartwax 10100 Rim Wax Ultimate Shine and Protection and rims stay super clean, and if it does get a bit dirty just a quick spray down with the hose is enough.
