I hope to have to some numbers soon. I measured the ECU temps last week after my commute without the cover and put on the cover on Sunday. Will take some readings this week, it will be annoying to unscrew the cover every time though. Also the ECU dissipates heat rather quickly so I know it will drop by several degrees by the time I have the cover off. FWIW the cover did seem pretty warm to the touch (~134F) after one drive (ambient temp 97F).

If you don't mind sharing what you come up with, that would be great. Thanks.

I took some readings using a IR Laser thermometer after my commute home from work in the evening. I measured the temp of the ECU right next to the label on it. Without the cover these are the temps I recorded - the first number is the ambient temp as indicated in the VC and the second number is the temp of the ECU:
88F-123F
91F-121F
93F-123F
97F-127F
97F-125F

With the cover on, these are the temps I recorded - the first number again is the ambient temp, the second number is the temp of the cover, and the third number is the temp of the ECU, again measured on the top part next to the label.
91F-131F-121F
93F-145F-123F
86F-141F-110F
91F-145F-118F

So basically not a big difference with or without the cover in terms of ECU temps. The temps are what the thermometer displayed right away - the ECU dissipates heat rather quickly, almost 1 degree every second or so. That's one of the reasons why the the temps with the cover is slightly lower - in the time it took me to undo the cover and measure the temp, the ECU would have cooled down several degrees right away.

Thank you for all the work. It makes me feel better. Now let's hope they don't yellow

Picked up the 2019 S5 Sportback back in May. Wheel setup - H&R lowering springs | 20" Niche Gamma Gloss Black wheels | spacer kit | continental extreme contact sport XL (275/30/20) tires. I definitely want to also do exhaust at some point, maybe an AWE, still need to figure this out.

Looks great... what size spacer did you go with?
