FYI, my 2019 TT RS Black Optic did come with black rings and you can order them from parts. I might end up switching them out,

The rings on our car (B9.5) are a different size than what is for sale everywhere. If I remember the measurement correctly ours are 9.5" and all of the ones for sale around the internet start at 10.5" and increase in size from there. I even bought one just to make sure all of the measurements in the for sale ads weren't incorrect--they weren't. There's no black rings available for us UNLESS the ones on the 2021 A5 BO fit.
I thought about removing and painting them then I read that everyone destroys them when they're taken off. I even thought about taping around them and plasti-dipping them but I'm not THAT desperate for black rings lmao.
Are the emblems on the back of your car black?
