Correct...no S badging on the rear calipers, I noticed that when I was washing the car last Friday.

I just emailed Audi rep Vincenzo Francis to get his take...will let you know.

Since this is a free-for-all thread, a couple things:

1) Congratulations Buick Funny Car! The waiting is the hardest part....your Coupe looks great!
2) Rear "S" logo: In that referenced S4 (at Audizine...) thread it makes mention that the removal of the "S" logo (they are still red) also means a different part # for the rear calipers and this part #/caliper has no way to actually just purchase the "S" part and bolt it on. You would have to replace the whole of the rear caliper with an "S" actual part, not cheap. There is also a long thread here https://www.audiworld.com/forums/s4-...ssing-2940951/ where it says this is a running change for the S4's, and NOT a mistake.

I can't speak if this is now a running change for the S5 (coupe only? Sportback?, Cabriolet?) we'll need to start seeing the newer cars...

Default Driving everyday to nowhere in particular...

84 miles yesterday down the coast to Big Sur, today an even 50 to Castroville for some artichokes brings me to 500 exactly as I pulled in the driveway...almost there.

Today, nothing weird went off or happened, so I consider that a good day...car drove beautifully and the seats are just as comfortable as ever.

Many observation and comparisons in my mind regarding this S5 and my previous F-Type, will gather them all and do a full write-up soon.

I think the design change was somewhere in 7/17 ~ 8/17

I have a 7/17 built S5 SB and have the rear caliper covers.

My car also doesn't have the USB port by the 12v socket up front.

Looks like Audi makes a lot of little running changes during the car year model.

"S" logos on my rear calipers as well as the USB port up front under the climate controls - S5 Sportback built in 09/17.
