Does installing the braces void your warranty? I wanted to do the transmission brace but wonder if the dealer will complain since you're removing the OEM and replacing it with a 3rd party?

Only if they can prove that the brace is the cause of the problem for which you're trying to request a warranty repair.

In a practical, rather than legal, sense I would change "prove" to "believe." It depends on the dealer, but in these types of cases Audi often places the onus on the owner to prove that the modification didn't contribute to the failure, rather than vice versa. For example, if any part of the suspension is modified, expect that the warranty will not cover the entire suspension, not just the specific part that was replaced. Same with a tune and the drivetrain warranty.

Since I started this silly thread, the followup is that I just finished the matrix headlight install. A later completion date because of COVID shipping times, but well worth it. To reuse a quote, "They're real, and they're spectacular!" Thanks to those who encouraged me and helped me (you know who you are). This can be done without breaking the budget.

Did you get the B9 matrix lights or the B9.5 laser matrix lights? I know the B9.5 taillights will work with the B9 but the B9.5 headlights are still listed as only for the B9.5.

I have the B9 matrix lights. They are readily available on the open market. Getting the B9.5 laser matrix would jack up the price considerably most likely. I also think you would be going into uncharted retrofit territory. I wanted to stay at under 1/3 of a kit price and these are plenty bright.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking too. I wonder if it's just a coding issue or what for the B9.5 lights. I figured I just the new headlights and taillights through Europrice regardless of which ones I get.

My guess is that the bumper, grill and other associated parts might also be needed to get the B9.5 headlights to fit.

Yeah, if that's the case, forget it. Last I heard Alex from Europrice hadn't checked the fitment yet.

I have not tried fitment of the B9.5 headlights into a B9 model yet. I don't currently have plans for that yet, but the B9.5 taillights do fit and kits are available.

If anyone has any questions on these do let me know.

Cheers,
