What is that motorized noise whenever you open your door?

Default What is that motorized noise whenever you open your door?
After letting the car sit parked for a while, if I open the door I hear this mechanical motorized noise that lasts for a second or two. What is that?

From the right rear - I think it’s the fuel pump priming the fuel line to the engine.

Yea there’s all sorts of whirring mechanical noises when the engine is not running. Probably while the engine runs too but you can’t hear them.

I always hear hear the parking brake, engage/disengage.

It's the in-tank fuel pump (aka Lift Pump) priming the mechanical High Pressure Fuel Pump.

I swear the noise sounds like its coming from the door though.

This sound is different and seems to be coming from the bottom of the door. But is perhaps related.

It's definitely not from the window. It happens after the window has already been lowered.
